Nokia has finally taken the wraps off its new flagship handset, the Nokia Lumia 800, and it may well have been worth the wait.
Described as the “first real Windows Phone,” it’s a neat looking device, with an industrial design seeing the handset fitting into a 12.1mm (0.48-inch) thick piece of durable polycarbonate plastic, with tapered edges on the top and bottom.
Running Windows Phone Mango, the phone comes with a 3.7 inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display, 1.4 GHz processor with hardware acceleration and a graphics processor.
The camera looks a good ‘un too, boasting Carl Zeiss optics, f2.2 lens and HD video playback, backed by 16GB of internal user memory and 25GB of free SkyDrive storage for storing images and music.
The estimated retail price for the Nokia Lumia 800 will be around €420, excluding taxes and subsidies.
