We wrote about Swype’s innovative text input system yesterday, and were pretty impressed by the demo posted.
The tech website TechCrunch have now posted up a leaked video showing a face-off type-off between a Samsung Omnia II handset equipped with the Swype software and someone bashing away on a regular iPhone onscreen keyboard.
According to the video, the pwnage is total and complete, with the Swype handset clearing the test streets ahead of the iPhone.
However, we suspect that some iPhone users may be able to match the faster speeds of the Swype, although it would have been more interesting to see the test conducted with a proper hardware keyboard.
