After a comically catastrophic launch last month, which saw Google’s offering being so bug-ridden that it had to be retired from view, an updated GMail app has made its way back into the Apple App Store.
Version one proved so buggy, broken and wobbly that it was deemed unusable by most, prompting Google to swiftly grab their punctured ball and run away with it, pulling the app out of the store within hours.
Today, they’re having another bash at it, promising that they are “just getting started with the Gmail app for iOS and will be iterating rapidly to bring you more features.”
The new app (declared as v1.0.2.) is identical to the original, with the added ability to scale images embedded in HTML via pinch-zoom.
If you’re the forgiving kind and what to give Google a second chance, you can download the app here.
