Although Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos has said that the new Kindle eReader experience is sharply focussed on reading books, the company seems happy to serve up a few distractions on its innovative device, with two free games now being announced.
Free games
After inviting third-party software developers to conjure up some applications for their electronic book reader back in January, two simple word games have just appeared on Amazon’s store.
The first, Every Word tasks users to find as many words as possible in scrambled letters, while Shuffled Row is all about unearthing words in 60 lettered tiles.
Described by Amazon as “active content,” both games are free and available for downloading now, with the user response so far being very positive indeed.
