It seems that even Apple’s cunning plans sometimes go awry, and the official word is that anyone wanting to bag themselves a natty white iPhone 4 is in for a bigger wait than expected.
With fashionistas growing impatient for news on the release date for the crisp white version of the latest “must have” gadget, Apple has just put out an official statement saying that it will not be available until the “second half of July.”
“What’s with the delay?” we hear you squeak, impatiently.
Well, it seems that the white models have “proven more challenging to manufacture than expected,” resulting in the launch of the white iPhone 4 being kicked back into the second half of new month.
Apple also added that the, “availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected,” so goths and folk with a penchant for moody dark handsets need not be alarmed.

I don’t expect the white handsets are very practical. They will get grubby in no time, just from regular pocket grime.
I guess that Apple is just trying to drum up demand for the less popular white iPhone by making it seem more rare and unusual. However, the black iPhone 4 is much more stylish)
