First slated for a UK release this month, it looks like Asus’s innovative Eee Pad Slider won’t be shuffling into the UK until September at the earliest.
The QWERTY-toting tablet transforms into a netbook courtesy of a neat sliding action, giving the machine an edge over the current slew of lookalike Android tablets currently being punted out.
Asus will be serving up the Slider in two flavours; 16GB and 32GB, with pricing looking to be set at €479 and €599 in Europe and $400 and $550 in the States.
Running on Android 3.1 (with a scheduled 3.2 upgrade) the tablet struts its stuff with a 1280 x 800 WXGA display, dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of memory, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, USB 2.0, mini-HDMI, microSD card reader, WiFi and Bluetooth. T
Asus also lob in one year of “unlimited ASUS Web Storage” for storing your stuff up in t’cloud computing needs.
All that sounds like music to our ears, so we’ll be looking forward to getting our mitts on this tablet. Anyone else excited by it?
