It’s been on its way for well over a year, but Asus’s intriguing EeeKeyboard is finally available for US customers to pre-order on Amazon, with shipping scheduled for the end of the month.
Basically a fully functional home theatre PC (think: a supercharged Amiga A1200 with a bolted on touchscreen), the EeeKeyboard packs a 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU backed by 1GB of DDR2 memory and a 16GB SSD for storage,

Running on Ye Olde Windows XP Home, connectivity options comes in the shape of 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a gigabit Ethernet jack, Bluetooth 2.1, aHDMI out, integrated Ultra-Wide-Broadband (UWB) receiver (offering wireless playback of video and audio content on a monitor or TV) and three USB 2.0 sockets.
The LED-backlit, multitouch display is a bijou 5-inch job offering a 800 x 480 resolution, with the whole caboodle measuring up at 16.7 x 5.7 x 1 inches.
