Snazzy microphone maker Blue is launching a new range of microphones targeted at iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users.
Spark Digital
Blue will be showing off two of their new designs at CES 2012 next week, with the curious looking Spark Digital being billed as “the world’s first studio-grade condenser microphone to offer both USB and iPad connectivity.”
Offering ‘Focus Control’, the bizarre creation is mounted in a shock-resistant adjustable desk stand and comes with an ‘ attached, extended female headphone jack for each platform.’
Mikey Digital
The second mic is the Mikey Digital, which clips on top of an iPhone and features two ‘custom-tuned’ Blue capsules for stereo recording, a line-input, USB pass through and in a 230-degree rotating design.
Mikey’s three gain settings lets users record anything from a “loud concert to a whisper,” with the device coming with its own soft carrying pouch.
Claimed to be “studio grade,” both mics hope to attract the credit cards of podcasters, musicians, journalists and enthusiast recorders, with the Spark Digital weighing in with a $199 price tag, and the Mikey Digital costing $99.
