Old school gamers packing iPhones should get ready to whoop at the news that Civilization Revolution, a remake of the old Civilisation classic – has been shunted into the App Store and is currently available for free.
The cartoony, simplified version of the empire building classic offers the ability to change zoom levels by pinching, and there’s 16 Civilizations throughout history to choose from (including America, Spain, China, Japan and Germany).
The graphics look better than the DS version and the game loads swiftly enough – but be warned, if you take a call mid-game you’ll end up going back to the last saved version and not where you left off (at least that’s what happened to us on a 3GS).
