If – like us – you love photography and all that dSLR shizzle, but aren’t so keen on lugging hefty tripods about, then Davis and Sanford’s space-saving Traverse tripod may tickle your fancy.
Coming with a choice of BHQ8 or BH11 ball heads, the tripod is unique in that the legs can cunningly fold up over the head, locking down to just 16”, making it small enough to slip into a backpack.
When opened up, the Traverse tripod extends to a full size 57 inches, with the durable, lightweight legs being locked into place by quick twist rubberised collet locks.
The tripod comes with leg angle adjustments for bagging those low-angle shots, and also features a removable centre column hook and retractable rubber feet. The whole thing weighs in at 3.3 lb.
The Traverse with BHQ8 ball head knocks out for around $119, while the BH11 head version should be found for around $169.
The tripod also comes with the standard Davis & Sanford 10-year warranty, and is available through the Tiffen worldwide dealer network.
