Facebook has just slammed down an an update to its official application for Android devices, with the shiny new version 1.5.3 serving up a rather small side salad of newness, with just a couple of new features and bug fixes.
Tagger
The big news (well, as big as the news is going to get here) is the ability to tag friends in status updates – a feature that alerts a user if you’ve mentioned them in your post.
There’s also a new, self-declared “awesome” Find Friends feature, which – would you believe it! – lets you find friends directly from your Android handset, and it’s also possible to now add your phone number to your profile, allowing other chums on Facebook mobile to call you.
Sadly, the app will still sporadically boot you out on to your browser when performing certain functions. Which is annoying.
