Samsung’s latest smartphone for photographers, the Galaxy K Zoom, has now appeared in Samsung’s official UK e-store, with shipping promised from May 29.
Launching in Singapore last month, the Galaxy K Zoom features a 20.7 MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS camera sensor with BSI and a Xenon flash and 10x retractable zoom lens.
There’s also a 2MP front camera for those essential social media-bound selfies, and the phone can record 1920×1080 full-HD resolution video at 60fps.

There’s a large 4.8-inch 720p screen, while lurking inside can be found a hexa-core Exynos 5 Hexa 5260 SoC CPU (two 1.7GHz Cortex-A15, four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores), backed by 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and a microSD slot offering up to 64 GB additional storage.
Connectivity comes in the shape of LTE Cat 4, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and a MicroUSB 2.0 slot, with the Samsung running on a generous 2430 mAh battery.
It’s a big of a hefty beast, measuring up at 20.2 mm thick, but at 200g, it’s 8g lighters than its predecessor, the S4 Zoom.
Running the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, the Galaxy K Zoom will be available in blue, black and white finishes and can be yours, all yours, for £400 (around $670).
