If Google fills a large part of your life and you want to get even closer to the Googleplex, the loosen your tie, pour yourself a port and say hello to Google New.
Google New – billed as the “one place to find everything new from Google” – is a simple web interface which pulls together the latest product and feature launch announcements from more than 100 of Google’s official blogs.
New Google stuff can be searched via a drop down menu of their apps, or by rummaging through eight areas of interest, like ‘social,’ ‘maps,’ and ‘developers.’
The new feature is a product of Google’s “20%” schemes, where engineers are allowed to spend 20% of their work time pottering away at any projects that take their fancy.
We’d like that at Wirefresh. Except we’d call it “Pub Time.”
