Google has announced that it will be offering the entire Nik Collection of six photo-editing plug-ins for just $149/£98 – a price that works out at a whopping 70 per cent reduction.
Previously sold as separate items, you can now bag the entire suite of plug ins for just under a hundred quid, and for that you will get: Dfine 2.0, Viveza 2, HDR Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4 Complete Edition, Silver Efex Pro 2, and Sharpener Pro 3.0.
Conveniently, the new bundle will will work on all supported applications from a single installer, so users can get the software quickly working within Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, and Apple Aperture.
Josh Haftel, Product Manager at Google, said that the company intends to continue to develop and support the plugins:
We definitely plan to continue developing and evolving the software. This is our first release and by bringing this under the Google brand, we hope to show our commitment not only to Nik users, but to the photography community at large.
Google are also looking after folks who recently shelled out for Nik plug ins at the old, much higher price.
Anyone who bought an individual plugin within the last five years can get the entire collection for nothing, and if anyone spent more than $149 on plug-ins since February 22nd 2o13, they’ll be refunded the difference.
