Every day you’ll be shovelling through a ton of the stuff but it’s quite interesting to find out how an email travels from one person to another.
Google has put together a rather splendid HTML animation showing exactly how each message gets delivered to its recipient.
There’s no shortage of Google immodestly bigging up their green credentials along the journey (we only wish competitors like Apple had as much to brag about), but it still makes for a rather interesting package, with lots of opportunities to click on hotspots to find out more.
