We’re stoked at the prospect of getting our mitts on HTC’s new Desire HD, but for now the best we can offer is a video that’s just been leaked on YouTube.
The soon-come update to the hugely successful HTC Desire – still our current favourite smartphone – is hotly rumoured to pack 720p HD video recording, 4.3″ screen and WVGA screen resolution, with the phone clad in a “unibody aluminium design”.
The camera has been ramped up to an 8 megapixel camera job, complete with face tracking, and there’s now a healthy 4GB of internal storage, with the whole t’ing running on Android 2.2 and 1 GHz Qualcomm CPU.
The headphone port looks set to shimmy to the base of the phone (like the HD2), and there’s a dual LED flash on the back of the camera – but no front facing camera that we can see – and the optical trackpad seems to have vamooshed.
We’ve no idea about availability or pricing yet, but you can bet your bottom dollar we’ll be posting here to tell you all about it when we do.
