HTC has just unveiled the new HTC Desire Z, a QWERTY-packing version of the HTC Desire HD.
The handset – basically the T-Mobile G2/G2 Touch in a renamed and re-jigged package – comes with a 3.7-inch QVGA screen and slide out QWERTY keyboard backed by 4GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expansion.
There’s a a 5MP camera with autofocus and flash onboard, with the latest Android 2.2 operating system onboard, and the thing purring along on an 800MHz Qualcomm chip.
There’s a rather disappointing 1300mAh battery, but the phone comes smothered in HTCs lovely Sense UI and HTC Smart Boot extras.
An attractively slim, all-metal number, the Desire Z sports dimensions of 119mm x 60.4mm x 14.16mm with a weight of 180g with battery.
We’re still waiting to hear about the HTC Desire Z UK release date and UK price, so stay tuned.
I like this phone.
I have the HTC touch pro 1 now, but must have the HTC Desire Z for sure and Android.
