HTC has officially announced its Sensation XE handset and it looks rather a tasty number, sporting beefed-up specs and onboard Beats Audio for a funkier, phatter sound.
Thundering along on a hefty 1.5GHz dual-core processor, the Android-powered smartphone struts its stuff with a generous 4.3-inch touchscreen with qHD (540 X 960) resolution, while a larger 1730mAh battery nestles under the hood for extended playtime.
The Sensation XE is the first born of HTC’s partnership with Beats Audio, and included in the box is a rather fine looking pair of ‘Beats by Dr. Dre headphones’, which come with in-line controls.
When the earphones are plugged in, the handset automatically switches to a custom Beats by Dr. Dre sound profile, delivering a lughole full of fabness tuned ‘specifically for the headphones’ which promises, “fuller bass, sharper vocals and broader range.”
Coming this month
The HTC Sensation XE ships with a microSD card (8GB/16GB) and will be launched in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East sometime this month, although a North American release date os yet to be announced, along with any pricing details.
