Freshly announced at London’s Roundhouse venue today is the HTC Sensation XL, packing a fearsome 4.7-inch 480 x 800 Gorilla Glass screen, Beats Audio technology and a particularly good camera lens.
Strutting its stuff with 16GB of built-in memory but (only 12GB available to the user), the HTC Sensation XL comes with an 8-megapixel camera sporting a super fast F/2.2 lens, backed by a dual LED flash.
There’s a 1.3-megapixel snapper on the front for video chats, but movie-making fans may be disappointed as the phone is only capable of 720p video capture.
Powering the Sensation XL is a single core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 processor, with 768MB RAM onboard and a 1600mAh battery.
Shipping with Android 2.3.5 and the new HTC Sense 3.5, the phone comes with a Beats branded handset and measures up at 132.5 x 70.7 x 9.9mm. Weight-wise, it’s a fairly light 162.5g.
Vodafone, 3 and O2 have said that they will be stocking the new HTC Sensation XL in the UK, and it’ll start showing off its enormous glass face from the beginning of November in Europe and Asia.
