Berlin-based Savoy Software have developed Liquid Scale, a ‘content aware image resizing’ app for the iPhone.
According to its makers, Liquid Scale resizes pictures while “magically keeping the important features of the image intact,” and can, “intelligently remove or add pixels to preserve important parts of the picture.”
In practice, this means you can ‘crush’ photos while keeping the items of interest intact, or specify individual elements to remove.
We’re not sure why we’d want to do this, but it could prove useful for knocking out a quick edit before emailing a photo, or perhaps for eliminating an annoying gurning friend from your favourite snaps.
