If you don’t fancy your Mum or your work colleagues reading every single thing you post on Facebook, the new Facebook Groups feature lets you share updates and info with selected groups of people.
Aimed at people looking to do things like ‘share baby photos with your close family, create shared docs for a class project and chat with all the members of your band at once,’ the feature lets users talk to group members in real time (or catch up with the conversation later) and send and receive group email updates.
With Facebook’s somewhat tarnished reputation on privacy, they’ve cranked privacy options up to 11 for this one, with all added content only being visible by group members by default.
