Nokia has bolted on some new features to their Ovi Maps application, and shown off the new functionality in a painfully bad video.
The improved Ovi Maps app now serves up live traffic flow information and comes with a new drive assist mode.
There’s also public transportation maps, a redesigned places page and social check-ins for finding your Ovi-toting chums.
Double thumbs up
The public transportation maps can be viewed courtesy of a map layer that’s available for over 80 cities around the world, and the check-in feature lets you broadcast your location via SMS or to your social network of choice.
You can see it all in action below, courtesy of a hideously cheesy video.
Be warned: it’s like watching your parents dance to grindcore. But worse.
