The Panasonic LUMIX GX1 has now been officially announced and priced, with the high end compact hitting the streets of the UK in mid-December.
It’s a lovely looking camera alright – very similar to the GF-1 – and as rumoured, comes with a 16 megapixel Live MOS Four Thirds Sensor , a super-snappy auto-focus speed of 0.09 seconds and full HD 1080i video recording with stereo sound.
The ISO range runs from 100-12800, there’s a 4.2fps burst mode at full resolution and around the back can be found a 3 inch screen with 460k dots.
The GX1 will be available in Gunmetal Grey and Raven Black, the GX1, with the body retailing for £499.99 body.
A kit lens version with 14-42mm kit lens will set you back only £599.99, while GX1 with 14-42mm power-zoom lens (due January 2012) will cost £729.99.
