Fast Train To Snooze Central
This wonderful free app is designed to swiftly transport you to Slumberland by playing back a selection of relaxing ambient sounds.
Wannabe snoozers can select suitably soporific sound loops from a comprehensive list including summer rain, heavy rain, train, waves, beach, camp fire, wind-chimes, forest birds, whales, relaxation melodies and even a chorus of frogs.
Mix it up
Users can select which sounds they want to hear playing, and set the volume independently to create their own custom relaxation ‘mix,’ or shake the phone to hear a random selection.
The sound loops are all of good quality and there’s a timer function to let the program close itself after a preset length of time, or to play an alarm after a specified period.
Even better, the app can play in the background so you can relax to forest sounds while playing games or answering emails.
We love this app and there’s very little to complain about seeing as it’s free.
In fact, we liked it so much it’s replaced White Noise as our power nap app of choice.
