Samsung’s slew of new releases have pretty much grabbed the headlines at the IFA 2012 trade show in Berlin, and rapidly generating ample amounts of pre launch buzz is the company’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Samsung ATIV S.
Dominating the slim phone is a hefty 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 2, while inside can be found a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Krait processor.
Equipped with 1GB of RAM and 16GB and 32GB of onboard storage, the handset sports an 8MP camera on its back and a 1.9MP on the front for video calls.
The ATIV S comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3 and NFC connectivity, and there’s a beefy 2,300mAh battery powering the high-tech goodness.
Measuring up at 137.2 mm x 70.5 mm x 8.7 mm and weighing 135 grams, details of pricing and availability for the Samsung ATIV S are still under wraps for now, but we’re certainly interested in this little number.
Big things are expected of Windows 8, and we have to admit we’re a bit tempted to get on board for the ride.
