If you like your tablets big and rather expensive, thrust your wallet in the direction of the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, which is now available to buy in the UK.
Launching at Samsung’s online store, its “Experience Store” at Westfield Stratford City, and “selected retailers” such as Carphone Warehouse and John Lewis, the Wifi-only version of the mahoosive 12.2″ inch tablet will set you back £649.
Parting with that wad of readies will let you get lost in a sumptuous 12.2-inch 2560×1600-resolution screen, while beneath the surface lies an Exynos 5 Octa CPU, backed by a beefy 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (there’s also a 64GB option) and microSD expandability.
Despite the prospect of owners looking positively ridiculous trying to frame a photo with this tea-tray sized tablet, Samsung have also added an 8-megapixel camera, while inside lurks a huge 9,500mAh battery
Running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, this is the first tablet to run Samsung’s new-look Magazine UX, which serves up a Windows 8-style grid layout with rectangular widgets. The tablet also comes with ‘enhanced multi window’ multitasking which sounds awfully exciting.
Also expected to go on sale later this this year is the new Galaxy Tab Pro tablets, which come in 12.2, 10.1 and 8.4-inch flavours.
