A whole bag full of Windows Phone 7 handsets are expected to be hitting the streets soon, with the first to break cover being the Samsung Omnia 7, which is now available for your pre-ordering pleasure from T-Mobile, with Orange and 3 to follow.
Samsung’s first Windows Phone 7 handset, the Omnia 7 comes with a beefy 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen sporting a resolution of 480×800 pixels and is powered by a 1GHz processor.
There’s also a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash capable of shooting 720p video onboard, HSDPA, WiFi and 3G connectivity, 8GB of internal memory, Bluetooth and aGPS.
Served up on a variety of T-Mobile deals covering 18- or 24-month contracts, the tariffs range from £10 a month for 24 months if you’re willing to shell out £300 for the handset.
The £35 a month/2 year deal lobs in a Samsung Omnia 7 for free, with 900 minutes, 500 texts and ‘unlimited’ Internet data.
We’ve yet to have a play with any WP7 phones, but from what we’ve seen so far, the interface certainly looks interesting enough to at least get a look in between Apple and Android.
Are any of you tempted?
