Sometimes mere words aren’t enough, so we’re grateful for the folks at Skatter Tech for knocking together a neat infographic showing the current state of play between some of the biggest hitters on the tablet scene.
Specs galore
Specs and features are listed and ticked off where appropriate, and although we doubt that any are going to match the sheer slickness of the iOS experience, when it comes to sheer power and functionality, the Motorola Xoom emerges triumphant, matching and exceeding Apple’s offering in all areas.
Although a lot of these shortcomings may be addressed with the imminent launch of the iPad 2, it’s unlikely that even Apple’s updated tablet will come with a feature set as comprehensive as the Xoom’s.
As for us, we’re still more excited by the smaller sized tablets coming up, and look forward to getting our hands on some of the new Android Honeycomb offerings. And then there’s the HP/webOS tablet waiting in the wings…
