This engrossing and enchanting animation about the life of an astronaut is narrated by Jerry Carr, a man who certainly knows his subject.
His space experience saw him making over 1,000 orbits of the Earth and clocking up 2,000 hours in space as commander of Skylab.
The 4:52 video below sees Carr recounting some of his experiences at NASA, and explains how things weren’t quite as glamorous as some might think.
During the Gemini program, astronauts would never knew where their craft might make an emergency landing, so they had to take desert and jungle survival training, learning skills like how to get water in the desert and cook snake.
