Designed for grouse-seeking, moor-stomping upper class twits and ironic moustache-toting hipsters strutting into Brixton Villaaaage, these new tweed-clad headphones certainly cut a dash.
Created by the Swedish collective Urbanears, their £80 Plattan Tweed Edition headphones are cloaked in hand-woven Harris Tweed made from 100 percent virgin wool.
These headphones will certainly blend into the natural terrain better than a garish pair of Beats, and have the added bonus of perfectly complementing a deer stalking hat.
The full size headphones are claimed to serve up a “rich, secluded sound” and come with a handy ZoundPlug on one ear cap, letting a chum plug in and enjoy your music.
We can’t decide if they’re hideous or brilliant, but the more we look at them, the more we’re imagining ourselves at one with nature, taking in panoramic views of stunning lochs, striding across fern-laden fields and ascending the Highland monroes while Pendulum blasts out from our tweedy cans.
It appears that the first batch have already sold out, but if these headphones are ringing your sartorial bells, we suggest checking back at their website for any updates on availability: urbanears.com.
