According to figures released by the video sharing kings YouTube, no less than 700 billion YouTube videos were viewed in 2010, with more than 13 million hours of footage uploaded.
To celebrate, YouTube has knocked out a video showing off the top 10 videos of 2010, backed by a rather clever video-packed timeline that provides an overview of the video hits of the year – and naturally, there’s double rainbows, annoying oranges and bed intruders to be found in the list.
It’s time to rewind back through the YouTube videos that people in the US and around the world were watching and searching for in 2010,” champagne-popped Mia Quagliarello, YouTube’s community manager.
“These lists of most-watched videos reflect the people, places and events that captured our collective attention and imagination throughout the year.”
Proudly topping the list is the awesomely odd ‘Bed Intruder Song‘, which has now been watched a staggering 47 million times since its release in October.
Check out the YouTube blog for the full listing and you can get all interactive with the video timeline at the Rewind page on YouTube.
